Antique Late Edwardian Platinum Natural Jade & Emerald Ring with Diamonds, c. 1915–1925

This exceptional antique platinum ring dates to the late Edwardian period and early transition into the Art Deco era, circa 1915–1925. The original platinum mounting showcases the refined craftsmanship of the period, with intricate pierced openwork, scrolling and foliate motifs flowing gracefully around the center.

The ring's elaborate platinum gallery and shoulders demonstrate the delicate, sculptural workmanship made possible by platinum, while approximately 0.15 carats of diamonds provide subtle flashes of brilliance throughout the design. Unlike the more geometric jewelry that would come to define the later Art Deco period, the ring retains the graceful curves and botanical ornament characteristic of late Edwardian design.

The antique platinum mounting has been professionally restored and newly set with a natural jade donut, complemented by a 0.12-carat natural emerald at its center. The soft translucency and organic character of the jade create a beautiful contrast against the bright white platinum and sparkling diamonds.

The mounting is stamped Pt900, indicating approximately 90% platinum. The ring also bears a 0.17 stamp, likely relating to the original gemstone weight.
