This exceptional platinum cluster ring dates to the Belle Époque period, approximately 1900–1918, an era defined by highly refined European jewelry craftsmanship and the early mastery of platinum in fine jewelry construction. The ring retains its original low-profile “plateau” construction, a hallmark of Belle Époque design. Engineered to sit flat against the finger, this style was specifically developed for wear beneath evening gloves, reflecting the formal elegance of the period. The result is a wide, airy cluster that spreads laterally across the hand rather than rising upward.

At the center is a later replacement: a GIA-certified natural jadeite jade cabochon (Type A), confirmed untreated with no indications of dye or impregnation. The jade weighs approximately 9.08 grams and exhibits a mottled green coloration with a soft, translucent body tone. Its measurements are approximately 10.86–10.90 x 3.93 mm.
