Antique Art Deco 14K White Gold Double Halo Ring with 0.60ct Old European Cut Diamond, circa 1925–1938
Tax excluded.
This elegant antique ring is a beautiful example of American Art Deco jewelry from the late 1920s through the 1930s, featuring the geometric structure and diamond-forward design that defined the era.
At the center is a 0.60 carat natural Old European Cut diamond, displaying the distinctive high crown, smaller table, and broad, antique-style faceting associated with this historic cut. Surrounding the center stone is a double halo of approximately 0.30 carats of natural Old European Cut diamonds, creating a substantial cluster of diamonds across the face of the ring.
The diamonds are graded approximately E–F color and VS–SI clarity, offering an exceptionally bright appearance while retaining the characteristic warmth and visual personality of antique cutting. Importantly, the surrounding diamonds are also Old European Cut, preserving the cohesive period character of the piece.
The double halo arrangement is particularly characteristic of the Art Deco period. Rather than blending the accent stones into a continuous pavé surface, each diamond is individually set, creating a distinctive scalloped and architectural outline. The outer halo features pointed, navette-like settings that give the ring its characteristic crown-like silhouette.
The 14K white gold mounting further reinforces the ring's American Art Deco character. The white metal provides a crisp backdrop for the diamonds while the open, architectural gallery allows light to enter beneath the stones. A substantial, smoothly tapered shank completes the design and provides a balanced foundation for the elaborate cluster head.
With its original-style Old European Cut diamond composition, geometric double halo design, and period white gold construction, this ring is a wonderful representation of the 1920s–1930s Art Deco aesthetic. It is equally suited to an antique jewelry collection or as a distinctive alternative engagement ring for someone drawn to the history and character of genuine period jewelry.
